April 2017 is an exciting time for the anime world. Tonight brings the second seasons of both the long-awaited Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) as well as our latest obsession Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia). And no, this is not an April Fools’ prank! Seriously, does it get any better than this?
If you haven’t watched either series yet, then I have just one question for you. What have you been doing all your life? When the first season of the Shingeki no Kyojin anime series first came out, it took the world (that’s right, not just the anime world but the entire world) by storm because of the stellar animation and how vividly the characters expressed their despair. Definitely looking forward to more epic animations and awesome battle scenes!
Boku no Hero Academia was admittedly, when I first started reading the manga, not that impactful for me at the start. But there’s something about Deku or Young Midoriya that makes you want to follow his underdog story and watch him get stronger and stronger. The character development as a whole is very well done and makes you want to know more about each and every single one of the characters in the anime. The series is also very well animated and great fights!
